Rules, Terms & Conditions
Only sites which are 'On Topic' are accepted by this ring. Quality and quantity of content are also important considerations; we will not compromise our existing Members by admitting sites which fall below certain expected standards. Please use the URL of the page your webring nav bar code will be placed on. Our main focus is always on personal websites, they are welcome to apply. We dont believe that non-commercial sites should have to pay to use webrings, but we are happy to accept bids from all sites that wish to appear in one of our featured spots. We accept commercial sites on this ring if they are high quality sites which fit the theme and only if they are happy to pay a small fee to be one of our featured sites. If you have a commercial site, please consult the "Featured Site Status" and "Commercial Sites" sections of this website. We expect applicants to place their webring navbars in a genuinely visible and accessible location. It is important to ensure that visitors to your site can find their way back to the navbar again, so make provisions on your own menus, buttons or page navigation options to include links which make that possible. Clear and direct routes to and from the navbar are both a courtesy to other Members and a logical way to keep the traffic generated by this webring high. The ring generally provides a lot of visitors to its members; this factor is not accidental - our members' sites get hit so often because The Bedlam Web Group's rules about navbars are fair and practical. Help us to help you by adhering to them. Applicants who fail to provide a clear and direct route to and from their navbars will not be accepted. Members who think it might be clever to hide, obscure or alter the navbar in any way will be suspended or deleted. Sites with multiple navbar stacks are not accepted. The existence of more than one navbar area is a direct contradiction of the 'Clear & Direct Route' rule. Sites with forums or similar 'Members Only' sections may not be accepted - we prefer member sites to have facilities and contents which are open to all visitors. It is not always practical or desireable for our Managers to be compelled to 'sign up' for services before they can evaluate them. Applications from such sites are dealt with at the discretion of the Manager on duty. Although we believe in free speech and do not ordinarily wish to interfere in the other affiliations and associations of our Members, we reserve the right to deny or suspend sites which are linked to groups, individuals or websites which we deem to be illegal, offensive or prejudicial to the best interests of our Members. |
