Owen Wilson had a good run - for a while his career went really well. Finally, we found a way to persuade him to appear in one of our movies (a roll of incriminating photographs was a decisive influence, if I remember rightly). You know, there was a time when I would have found the fact that a guy actually likes spending quality romantic time with miniature south american pony quite remarkable, but I guess you could say that I matured and my horizons broadened. Personally, I collect stamps - which you might think of as a pretty wild and raunchy hobby - but that is my choice and I don't care a tinker's cuss about your opinion.

I think it is fair to say that this movie changed everything for Mr Wilson. He used to be perpetually type-casted as a leading man...but, after 'The Pirate Queen' he'll be seen in more challenging roles like janitor, fast food worker, jobless actor and maybe even vagrant stewbum in a few years time.

Owen tried to commit suicide recently - I assure you, it has nothing to do with his association with Rotten Films. If I had to take an educated guess, I'd say that it was the strain of all the less interesting parts he had to play at other studios which tipped him over the edge. Why, let me tell you, the boy was frequently seen sobbing with joy between takes whilst working on 'The Pirate Queen' - need I say more?
